When ever i am feeling down, flat or struggle to motivate myself i have a protocol i work through to hopefully build myself back up.

πŸ‘‡So the next time you are feeling low or are having a bad day try this…
1. TAKE A BREAK
If you can, take a break from every thing, take the afternoon off work, skip the gym or cancel a social event.
If it means you can have some alone time to re group then this could be a great option to consider.
Some times we let the stresses of work, family and our goals get the better of us and a break can certainly help.
2. COUNT TO 10
Some times we need to actually decide if what is stressing us out or making us feel down is worth the energy.
Some times a simple count to 10 can make a huge difference.
Don’t let the guy who cut you up at the round about ruins your day!
3. DON’T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF
Some times things will happen that are completely out of our control and we shouldn’t let it control us.
If this happens then don’t be so hard on yourself.
4. DON’T WAIT UNTIL MONDAY
I see so many people have a bad day mid week and then say they’ll wait until Monday. Don’t be that person.
If you are having a bad day today there is no reason to wait until Monday to restart.
There is so much you can do between now and Monday.
5. RE VISIT YOUR GOALS
Some times all it takes is a review of our goals to get us feeling motivated again.
Go through your goals and tell yourself you are worth it and that your goals are important.
If you have a step goal then aim to reach it.
If you are following a gym program then get to the gym and work on it.
You will feel much better for it after.
6. WRITE OUT 10 THINGS YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR
Whether it be your job, the roof over your head or the fact you have your health some times we forget how lucky we are.
I challenge you to write out 10 things you are grateful for and every time you are feeling down and low to re visit this list.
I bet it will help you.
