WHAT CARDIO IS BEST FOR FAT LOSS…? WALK, RUN, ROW, SWIM, SKATE, IT’S UP TO YOU…
👨🏫A question i get asked a lot is
“what cardio is best for fat loss…?”
🤾♂️In most cases people refer to cardio as things like running, swimming, cycling and rowing along with things like circuit training.
🚴♂️What does CARDIO mean though…
Well CARDIO is short for cardiovascular and when people use this term they typically mean increasing heart rate and heavy breathing.
💥Cardio is not limited to the gym however…
We can get our heart rate up in many different ways with out going to the gym: *running (outside)
*climbing (inside or outside)
*sex (depending on duration & ideally inside)
*5-a-side football *sports like Rugby, Hockey etc…
🥦Now we have to remember that for effective body fat loss we need to be in a caloric deficit.
Calories in (food) VS calories out (exercises & activity)
So, the quick answer is there is no one exercise that is best for fat loss.
The longer answer is…
We need to find exercises that enjoy and in turn we will stick to in the long run.
We also need to control our food intake by control calorie intake using a counter like My Fitness Pal.
(Obviously if we have a more sports specific goals then a more specific program will need to be adhered to)
