What i am about to say can and will apply to every thing in your life.
What sort of job do you want, what sort of partner do you want, how do you want to look & feel, what type of parent do you want to be, what do you want to achieve in life…?
There has probably been more than one occasion this week (maybe even today) where you have said to yourself that you are fed up with your job, you want to lose weight or you wish you had more time for your kids.
Well, what have you actually done about it…?
Seriously, what have you done…?
When ever i get a new client we go over what they want to achieve, what makes them happy, what they need to make more time for and look at the things that stress them out and make them unhappy.
Then we write it all down, set goals and make every thing accountable.
YOU ARE ON THIS PLANET FOR A VERY SHORT TIME, WHY WASTE IT BEING UNHAPPY, WHY WASTE IT NOT WORKING ON WHAT YOU WANT…
A few years ago i was asked for some advice to stay motivated and the best way to reach a fat loss goal.
Now my answer was pretty drastic, but let me add context…
I replied with…
“strip down to your under wear, take a photo, post it to Facebook and tag all your friends and family with the caption ***give me six month, i am going to drop my body fat, gain strength and feel awesome*** and then in six months re post your new photos…”
Now did i really mean for that person to do that, NO.
Did that person do it, NO.
If she had have done it would she have reached her goals…?
Well, most likely…
WHY, because she had a goal, made it accountable and put a time scale on it and wrote it down for the world to see.
However, the purpose of that comment was to show that with the right motivation and the right accountability you will, in most cases, achieve your goal.
SO, what did we actually do…
💥WE WROTE DOWN ALL HER GOALS
💥WE WROTE DOWN ALL HER STRESSES
💥WE WROTE DOWN THE THINGS THAT MADE HER HAPPY
💥WE WROTE DOWN ALL THE THINGS SHE WISHED SHE COULD CHANGE ABOUT HER LIFE (JOB, HUSBAND, ETC)
💥WE WROTE DOWN ALL HER WORRIES AND DOUBTS.
💥WE WROTE DOWN A TIME SCALE AS TO WHEN THE ABOVE WOULD HAPPEN/ CHANGE.
💥WE WROTE DOWN HOW WE WOULD ACHIEVE IT ALL.
💥WE WROTE DOWN SOME NEW HABITS AND BEHAVIOURS THAT WE WOULD WORK ON.
Can you see the theme…?
Did she reach her goals, HELL YEAH…
