💥ONE BAD MEAL WONT MAKE YOU FAT…
Just like one good meal won’t make you slim…
So you over did it on the food and drink and now you’re worried that all your hard work in the gym and with your nutrition will be ruined…?
Well, that just isn’t the case…
🍪As long as you don’t continue to over do it that is…
If for the last few weeks/months you have kept in control of your calorie intake, kept active and worked towards your goals then one bad meal and going over your calories won’t ruin your progress.
In actual fact it could actually HELP you with your goals.
🚴♂️So many times i see people who go a little over board on the weekend or during the week only to then beat themselves up in the gym or drastically reduce calories for the days ahead.
OR WORSE, say “i will start again Monday”
This will most likely lead to a bad relationship with food and in some cases the risks of giving up all together on goals.
So, what should you do if you go over your calories over the weekend or during the week…
Simple, go back to what you were doing up to that point AND do NOT beat yourself up.
No one ever woke up one morning and went “SHIT, where has all this body fat come from” just like no one has ever woke up and said “SHIT, where did all my body fat go”
👉Now like i said above, it could actually help some people with their goals by every known and again going over their calories for a day (or maybe two)
But read this first before you decide to head down to McDonalds and eat all the chocolate in the house…
👨🏫Remind yourself how hard you have been working.
👨🏫Remind yourself that you are human & it is ok to slip some times.
👨🏫If you have been in a deficit for a few weeks/months the chances are that even if you ‘go over’ for that day over all you may actually still be in a deficit.
👨🏫Your body may be adjusting to the deficit you’ve been in and will remind your body that not to down regulate too much.
👨🏫It can help reset hormone levels and jump start the body and it’s energy levels.
👨🏫If you have been eating mostly fruits, veggies, meat and fish then the odd pizza and chocolate known and again will give us that “feel good” sensation.
👨🏫Going over some times can give you a mental break as you may have been focusing on your goals for some considerable time.
Remember calories are king in the fat loss game and if you consistently over eat you WILL gain body fat.
If you slip, get up, brush your shoulders off and start agin.
DON’T go beat your self up in the gym and do 50 million things to try and claw back the calories you ate over the weekend and during the week…
